Emma's Back Home

So...the dreaded day has come and gone. I returned Emma back to Matthews, NC yesterday without any pupnapping attempts, or plot to replace her with the doppelgänger kitten.

So thus a montage of things lost to me, but regained by Byron, Scarlett, & the very luck Miss. Josie.

Balltime : even though this ball was really too heavy to throw in the house...and I know she got hit in the head with it too many times...this was definitely in her top 3 of favorite toys.

Even used as a pillow when taking a "break" (by the way...these never lasted too long!)

Her #1 favorite toy: Giraffe. This was the first one I bought her...and if you told her to "go get the/your Giraffe!" She would! No matter how many toys were closer to her, she'd always bring back this one.

Me being anemic, she definitely helped out by keeping my toes warm at night.

Emma is the best at snuggles :)

Mandatory 30 min. quality snuggle time every morning before getting ready...and every night before bedtime.
I think I might miss this the most.

And EVERY morning, when I wasn't watching, she'd try to sneak a taste of some chocolate milk.

Getting this face every morning as I was getting ready to leave for work made me melt...and almost made me late on several occasions!

And this face at the window ALWAYS mad that "I really just wanna stay home." feeling WORSE!

Plus, the random awesome preggers photo ops. She really was the best medicine for me, dealing with a particularly emotionally-hellacious pregnancy.

Everyone says that in a few weeks I will be too wrapped up with Lil Man (actually being here!) to be sad about no Emma. I say, "Yeah Right!"

BUT...she is home with some of the most amazing people on the planet. People I am proud to call family and that I admire immensely! I couldn't have taken her back if that weren't true. And I owe them an HUGE "THANK YOU" for giving me the chance to keep little Emma for so long.

Emma's Doppelgänger

So...we have a new addition to our ever growing furball family (or shall I say, an ABANDONED addition to the bushes outside the front door!)

Amanda is Thrilled! And poor Emma got one sniff and was enthralled! I can't even take her out to do her "lady business" without her trying to dive into the bushes to find the kitty!

I think Emma forgot the scent of a kitty...so this could be a good thing in getting her ready to go home...

But my devious side...which I know I inherited from my cousin Byron....just couldn't help but notice how close in color Emma and "The Kitteh" are!

I mean...I did tell Byron that I gave Emma a haircut!

And it's been awhile, they coulda forgotten that she's supposed to be a bit bigger...and should bark instead of mew, right?

I mean seriosly people! How am I supposed to part with this face...without at least one kidnapping plan in the works?

...I am taking a big purse tomorrow :)

Don't tell!
